HOMIES Empowerment staff take annual learning journeys to help broaden our lens on solidarity and support and be allies to our communities across differences. In 2021, HE took a trip to El Salvador and Guatemala. We met some amazing leaders and mentors as we experienced the land and the indigenous peoples. Here are some of the photos of that trip. I was able to attend this trip. It was a great experience. I was able to learn how the struggle of injustice prevails among these two countries, Guatemala and El Salvador. These people still fights for social justice an equality. This was my experience back in Mexico when I was growing up. 60 some years ago. Not much of achange.
