6/27/2022 3 Comments Listening Party with World Central Kitchen and the White House at the FREEdom Farm!East Oakland Community listening session to inform the upcoming White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. The last conference, in 1969, fundamentally shaped food policy for the next 50 years, including SNAP benefits, WIC and the School Breakfast Program. Homies Empowerment organized a listening session with our community to hear how individuals and families are impacted by hunger and food access. We had 3 groups facilitated by Homies staff in Mam, Spanish and English.

It was an amazing gathering centered in 3 languages, Mam, Spanish and English. It was so impactful to get to listen to the community speak about their ideas for food access. 6/27/2022 13:33:38
